Pink for Easter

3:43 AM

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! Mine was spent with loved ones and amazing food!
Each year, I always get excited about finding my Easter outfit. Growing up in a Christian home, it was the most important holiday of the year, and careful thought was put into what our Easter Sunday outfits would be. I can remember my mom dressing up my sisters and I in the same dresses, sometimes with varying colors and pairing them with colorful barrettes and ribbons in our hair. Oh the memories of growing up in Haiti! :)
As I grew up and developed my own style, Easter remained a big deal to me and so I always do my best to find an outfit that matches the occasion. This year unlike previous ones, I decided to shop in my own closet. I bought this skirt from ASOS last year and thought it would be perfect for Easter Sunday. I paired it with a simple white shirt and a pink blazer I purchased from H&M two years ago. I wanted to be adventurous and wore these sandals I got from Boohoo recently. I loved how colorful the outfit was overall!
You may notice I look a bit hungry in most of the pictures! It's true, I was starving! Family dinners on holidays are always super late. It's an unfortunate tradition that has stuck with us since childhood. I knew if I waited until after I ate, the sun might have already gone down. I was right! So please pardon my hungry/hangry looking face and my visible fake smile.
I had my siblings and my love join me for some photos to brighten my mood and make me forget about my hunger for a while. It worked for about 3 minutes.
My sisters and I :) I am the youngest out of us 3 and the middle child out of 5.
All of us! My 2 older sisters and 2 younger brothers !
And this is Bae :) Bae is the one behind the camera for most of my pictures. And Bae was also very hungry! Today, March 28, marks 5 years since Bae and I started dating :)
Have a beautiful week everyone!
As always, thank you for stopping by!
