LAYERS

I hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving and got lots of rest! I know I did!
I usually dread returning to work after having days off. But as we were just celebrating the things for which we are thankful, thinking of the fact that I am alive and able brought lots of brightness to my day.

December is almost here! It's my favorite month of the year for obvious reasons; my birthday is 3 weeks away and my favorite holiday is in 25 days! I love the joy and cheerfulness the holiday season brings. I love the way we take more time to appreciate small things in life, and each other as we approach Christmas time. Can you imagine what the world would be like if we carried on this spirit throughout the year?

This holiday season, I am making a bit of effort to pay attention to the things that bring me joy. I want to register them in my mind, and use them as tools to enhance my spirit throughout the coming year, especially during the times of year where my tolerance level for most things drops below zero. Winter, snow, and MBTA come to mind.

In the meantime, while I am fueled with happiness and lots of tolerance for another month or so, I am going to spread the joy to as many souls as I can. You should too!

Check out this outfit that I put together for work. I found this beautiful top at Marshalls recently, and think I may have found the perfect pea coat! I seriously have the hardest time shopping for coats. It takes me days to make up my mind and choose one. It's such an essential item in the winter, and it could potentially make or break your outfit. It took me 2 trips to Saks to decide on one.

I wanted to capture my outfit with all levels of layers, so I took off my coat and jacket for a few shots. Let's hope I don't have to pay for it later!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy early December!

    1. Thank you Gilianne :) We tend to rush back to our normal routines after the holidays and quickly forget how joyful we were just a week or 2 prior. Thanks for keeping up with the blog love :)
